You’re invited! This February and March at the Science library we join hands, hearts and paper to build a magnificent sculpture entirely out of recycled paper. Be part of it by making part of it!

All you have to do is come, fold an “atom” using the instructions provided and connect your piece to the growing “molecule”. Inspired by an enlightening public event led by Scitech during National Science Week, this student-run project won’t just end in a pretty artwork; it’s also an exploration of fundamental material structures – and a chance to recycle! Feel free to bring your own paper (ordinary white or lined A4 sheets will do) for recycling. The more colourful, the better!

You can even start now by watching these videos or following these instructions:

Build a unit first.

Build an atom out of 3 units.

Bring along and connect your piece to the sculpture.
