Corrs Chambers Westgarth is the first law firm to join The University of Western Australia Business School's Corporate Circle Program.

The Corporate Circle program is a fundraising and networking program that enables companies to form strong ties with students and staff from the Business School.

Corrs Chambers Westgarth's Perth Partner-In-Charge, Chris Ryder said the firm joined the Corporate Circle to "invest in the business leaders of tomorrow and provide professional development opportunities for our staff and clients."

The UWA Business School is supported by some of the State's most influential business people.  The Business School Board is chaired by Azure Capital co-founder and West Coast Eagles Football Club Chair, Mark Barnaba and respected company director Tony Howarth is Deputy Chair.  Tim Marney, the State's Under-Treasurer has recently been appointed to the Board.

Business School Dean Tracey Horton said the School's fundraising campaign, launched a year ago, had received immense support from the business community and individuals and was close to achieving a target of $25 million.

"The vision for this campaign is to position the UWA Business School as one of the most influential Business Education Institutions across Asia and Australia - to inspire talented students to become respected and innovative leaders of tomorrow, provide an energising culture of international excellence in research, teaching and learning, promote an ethical and entrepreneurial spirit, and be a strong positive influence for alumni, business and government."

"Commitments from companies such as Corrs Chambers Westgarth, support our objective of remaining on the pulse of business in the WA community," she said.  "It also allows the Business School to facilitate a range of business and leadership professional development activities."
