Student athlete Kurtis Marschall returned to form with an Olympic qualifying jump at the Jandakot Airport Track Classic.
After missing competition in 2019 due to injury, the Commonwealth Games gold medallist jumped his way to an Olympic qualifier of 5.80m.
After not reaching the height for some time, it took Kurtis three attempts to get the qualifier in the bag, but will surely provide him with confidence ahead of the upcoming Canberra Track Classic.
Training partner and UWA Athletics Club athlete Angus Armstrong set a new personal best, with 5.63m ahead of his previous mark of 5.55m.
Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Nina Kennedy was the women’s winner, clearing 5.50m to continue her return from injury.
