After years of racing in Asia and Europe, Aidan Read put in another stellar performance on his return to Australia, finishing second in the Adelaide leg of Asian Le Mans.

Just 90 minutes outside of Adelaide, Australia’s newest motorsport facility, the Bend Motorsports Park, played host to the event and saw a new lap record set by the UWA student.

Several safety car periods across the race saw Aidan forced to carefully manage his fuel and tyres, working hard to recover to a leading position.

While Aidan and team never left the overall top three, they were unable to take top spot, coming across the line as runners up.

Aidan’s next challenge will be in Sepang, Malaysia, with round three of the Asian Le Mans Series taking place in mid-February.
