UWA West Coast swimmers enjoyed a strong Australian Short Course Championships in Melbourne, winning several gold medals.

Zac Incerti was back in good form, winning gold in the 100m Free with a time of 48.23, while student athlete Ashton Brinkworth took out the bronze.

Ashton also took out gold in the 50m Free with a time of 21.93, continuing his outstanding efforts at recent events.

Fellow student athlete Nic Brown won silver 200m Fly, as well as bronze in 100m Fly.

Bachelor of Commerce student Adam Sudlow was also in fine form, shaving nearly 20 seconds off his personal best to win bronze in the 1500m Free.

Alex Milligan delivered constant performances across the Championships, narrowly missing a medal with fourth in the 200m breaststoke, fifth in the 100m IM, sixth in the 100m breaststroke and seventh in the 50m breaststroke.

The event was capped off by the UWA-West Coast medley relay team of Zac Incerti, Alex Milligan, Grant Irvine, and Ashton Brinkworth who won gold by two seconds.
