One of our local newspapers, The Post , was established in 1977 by Bret Christian who remains the Managing Editor. It is distributed weekly to 80,000 eager readers. The Post is just one of the many papers that have graced the Golden Triangle. Come hear more about the history of western suburbs newspapers from Post crime and council reporter David Cohen.

David Cohen (53) has been a Post reporter since 2009. He covers police and crime, Claremont, Peppermint Grove, and Cottesloe. He was a freelancer before the Post and worked at the ABC, and for The New York Daily News , The Age , the Lions Eye Institute, and the Australian Nursing Federation. David was the WA branch president of the journalists' union, the MEAA, for eight years until 2011. He does not live in the western suburbs, nor did he go to school there.
