I have recently been working with the Educational Enhancement Unit to implement LinkedIn Learning for all students and staff at UWA. This resource has been very beneficial to students thus far, being accessed by more than 4000 students in the first three weeks of semester.
It provides students with the ability to improve their soft skills and gain traits which will become useful in their future careers. This could be anything from mastering new skills in Microsoft Excel, learning video editing techniques or perfecting their interview technique.
So far, we have received great feedback about LinkedIn Learning, and students are finding it easy to use and learning a lot of new skills. I encourage all staff to explore LinkedIn Learning and think about how it could be useful to them, how they could use it to supplement their teaching or how they might refer students to it. Of course, this comes on top of a lot of other great services provided, including STUDYsmarter, the Careers Centre and Studiosity, just to name a few.
It has been incredibly exciting working on this project with the University, and I look forward to seeing staff and students continuing to engage with the service.
