On Monday 3 December 2018, a new joint PhD degree program in Agriculture and related disciplines was officially launched between The University of Western Australia and Nagoya University, Japan.

This joint PhD program is a result of a long history of collaboration between UWA Faculty of Science and Nagoya Graduate School of Bioagricultural Science.

The strong researcher-to-research links have been developed through a commitment to ongoing academic and student exchange, resulting in over fifty joint scientific journal publications in the past five years.

This new joint PhD program will further strengthen UWA's relationship with Nagoya University and with Japan to provide new and exciting opportunities for agricultural research and innovation for both countries and in particular for the students.
