It’s day 2 and the competition is firing up!

Chloe Metcalf flew down the track in the women’s 100m sprint final placing 4th overall, while Sarah Hynes 800m has been progressed straight through to a final to be run on Thursday.

On the beach our men’s beach volleyball pair remain undefeated with three wins against University of the Sunshine Coast, Griffith University and Sydney University of Technology.

Inside, the women’s volleyball team are yet to win a game, going down to Queensland University of Technology, Notre Dame and UTS. Improving at a lightning rate the girls will be aiming to pick up a win before the week is over. Both the men and women’s futsal team also suffered losses.

Men’s basketball started the day with a convincing win over Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and drew against Victoria Uni in the afternoon. The basketball team will need to win their next game to progress to the semi-finals.

Our men’s ultimate team started the day with a four-point loss to Australian National University but picked up the pace in the afternoon to beat UQ 13-9. The women’s team also did incredible well, winning two of their three games – placing them in prime position to progress to finals later in the week.
