Rowing Australia has added to the U23 Australian Rowing Team, with the selection of an U23 Men’s Coxed Four set to compete at the 2018 World Rowing U23 Championships in Poznan, Poland from 25 to 29 July 2018.

The Men’s Coxed Four includes UWA Boat Club’s Fraser Pensini alongside Alexander Clarke, Kane Grant, Zac von Appen and coxswain, Sarah Ben-David.

Earlier this year, Fraser made a name for himself at the 2018 Sydney International Regatta with a bronze in the U23 Men’s Single.

The high-achiever is also a UWA graduate, having completed his studies in biomedical science late last year.

The rower now joins UWA Boat Club’s Bronwyn Cox in the Australian side, with the 21-year-old earlier selected in the U23 Women’s Pair, partnering with fellow Western Australian Giorgia Pattern.

Bronwyn and Georgia earnt their selection for Australia after taking gold in the U-23 women’s pair at the 2018 Sydney International Regatta in March.

The U23 Australian Rowing Team now stands at ten crews, and will be looking to follow the success of the senior team that won several gold medals at the recent World Rowing Cup in Austria.
