UWA’s Office of Research and Enterprise (ORE) is sponsoring two UWA staff or students to attend the Curtin Ignition Program 2018 for new entrepreneurs.

We are holding an information session that will answer your questions in regards to applying for sponsorship to the program.

It’s open to anyone with a business idea, research project, or early stage business venture that could become a high growth business.

The Ignition Course is an intensive five and a half day education program for aspiring entrepreneurs, researchers and corporate innovators. During the course you can trial and prepare your business ideas for the commercial environment.

Eligibility and judging criteria for sponsorship

Sponsorship applications are judged on their individual merit based on the following eligibility criteria:

  • Currently a student or staff at UWA
  • Novelty of your business, idea, or innovation
  • Market potential and uniqueness of your proposal
  • The applicant is willing to assign IP rights to UWA and commercialise in line with UWA’s IP Policy

Ignition 2018

The course will be held on Sunday 26 – Friday 31 August 2018 . If you apply, be prepared to commit one full week to an intensive and results-focused program.   Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
