The Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) has finalised the 2018-19 State contract lists for both the Western Warriors and Western Fury.

Student athletes Will Bosisto , Cameron Green , and Josh Phillipe have all been handed State contracts, with Josh upgrading from the WACA Academy.

The UWA Cricket Club’s Ashton Agar is one of six Western Australian players on Cricket Australia contracts, after a starring role in Australia's T20 tri-series triumph against England and New Zealand.

With the six Cricket Australia contracts, the WACA selectors have been able to reward and support a young crop of local Western Australian players.

Alongside the three student athletes, UWA graduate Matt Kelly and UWA Cricket Club medium-pacer David Moody were given State contracts.

UWA Cricket Club wicketkeeper Emily Smith is also on a State contract with the Western Fury, in her third season for the club after joining in 2016.

UWA graduate Alex Bevilaqua has continued his place on a rookie contract, after senior injuries allowed him to make his mark on state debut, hitting Australia’s Nathan Lyon for three sixes in one over.

The Warriors will now aim to galvanise the team after coach Justin Langer was appointed as Cricket Australia head coach, while the Fury coach Lisa Keightley is looking to build on player experience for a strong summer.
