Rowing Australia has announced the junior and under-23 teams set to compete at their respective World Rowing Championships this year, as well as the Under 21 team set to race in the 2018 Trans-Tasman Regatta against New Zealand.

The UWA Boat Club’s Bronwyn Cox is among those who have been selected, partnering with fellow Western Australian Giorgia Pattern.

Bronwyn won silver at the 2017 World Rowing Championships alongside Annabelle McIntyre (Fremantle Rowing Club).

Following the win, Bronwyn was named joint Rowing WA Oarswoman of the Year, and WAIS Junior Athlete of the Year with her previous partner.

McIntyre has since moved into the open class, with Bronwyn still just 21 years of age, and a bright future in rowing before her.

Bronwyn and Georgia earnt their selection for Australia after taking gold in the U-23 women’s pair at the 2018 Sydney International Regatta in March.

The two will form part of the team of seven crews travelling to the 2018 World Rowing Under-23 Championships in Poznan, Poland from 25 to 29 July.
