Dear Colleagues

It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Associate Professor Matt Kilburn as the new Director of the Centre for Microscopy, Characterisation and Analysis (CMCA).

Matt has been employed at UWA since 2006, more recently as the Deputy Director of CMCA for two years, and subsequently as Acting Director following the departure of David Sampson.  He is an expert in secondary ion mass spectrometry with a wide-ranging knowledge of microscopy and microanalysis, an extensive publications record and proved research leadership.  We are delighted to have him lead the CMCA, a vital infrastructure facility at UWA.

I am sure you will join me in congratulating Matt on his appointment.
