We are pleased to congratulate Professor Mark Cassidy following his appointment as Dean of the Melbourne School of Engineering.

Professor Cassidy has been at UWA’s Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems since 2000, and Director since 2006.

Other roles he has held at UWA include being the inaugural Warden of the Forrest Research Foundation, four and a half years as Chair of the UWA Academic Promotions Committee and membership of the Board of Directors of St George’s College between 2009-2012. In 2015 he was named WA Scientist of the Year for his vital research into natural resources off the WA coast

Professor Cassidy will begin his new role in July and we wish him all the best.
