TEDxPerth returns to Perth Concert Hall on Saturday 11 November 2017 with sixteen powerful talks by some of Western Australia's leading thinkers and doers, including four from UWA.

Professor Ray Willis, Emeritus Professor Alan Harvey, Professor Anas Ghadouani and Ian Dunican will all gives talks at the event.

Professor Ray Wills - Faculty of Science
Ray’s enthusiasm and positivity about the global future for low carbon energy is infectious. His energetic talk will be a caffeine injection of new perspectives on a problem facing us all.

Emeritus Professor Alan Harvey - Faculty of Science
Why do we have music at all? It’s such a fundamental question that we’re only beginning to understand why, and Alan will tell us what new technologies are revealing.

Professor Anas Ghadouani - Faculty of Engineering & Mathematical Sciences
We’re familiar with the carbon footprint of our food. Anas will talk about the water footprint, with some shocking statistics for chocolate lovers!

Ian Dunican -Faculty of Science
Ian will talk about sleep – how we should value it more and what goes wrong if we don’t.
