As you will be aware this Sunday 13 August is UWA’s Annual Open Day where the University will be on display.

Please ensure your work areas and surrounds are tidy and well-presented before leaving for this weekend. In particular, please ensure:

  • Verandas, walkways and corridors are clean and clear of obstructions
  • Lecture theatres are clear of teaching materials
  • There are no boxes or furniture stacked around or outside buildings.

Remember also to secure valuable equipment and personal items and lock any areas that are not on show on the day.

Plus, in an effort to raise awareness of the amount of plastic in the ocean, a recycling campaign by Bloom is being supported at Open Day.

If you are attending on Sunday, please bring in old plastic water bottles such as clear soft drink, water and beverage bottles and assorted food packaging (with the number 1 in recycling triangle logo) and drop them off at James Oval to become part of the Plastic Bottle Installation. Afterwards the bottles will be shredded and used for filament for 3D printers in schools.

Thank you for your cooperation to ensure the Crawley campus is tidy and well-presented for Open Day. The University will hold a thank you event for staff volunteers who assist with  Open Day and more details will be in next week's UWA Forward.

Regards,

The UWA Brand, Marketing and Recruitment Team
