Dear colleagues

I am pleased to announce that Cara MacNish has been offered a secondment to work with Universities Australia as a Senior Political and Policy Adviser and will begin this role on 16 August.

Based in Canberra, Cara will work directly with UA Chief Executive Belinda Robinson through the five month secondment and use her thorough knowledge of the higher education sector and public policy to contribute to the peak body’s work.

This is a wonderful opportunity for Cara to extend the reach of her work, and it will be beneficial to have a UWA presence in Canberra at a time when the Federal Government is considering significant higher education reforms.

I am currently working with Cara and colleagues on interim arrangements for the Chair of Academic Board.
