Good morning. I was thrilled to see that two UWA subject areas have been ranked in the world’s top 10 and four were recognised as number one in Australia by the Academic Ranking of World Universities.
Enhancing research-led teaching is a priority for the University and these rankings, which are based on key research indicators, are a testament to our continued hard work in this area. You can read more about this below.
Tomorrow I will host a roundtable discussion with the other WA Vice-Chancellors and sector leaders to begin exploring options for deeper collaboration across agriculture institutes – a key area of research for the State. Our Agricultural Sciences area is one in which we achieved a number one position in Australia and we will draw on this expertise to lead the initiative.
