Good morning. Welcome to the first edition of UWA Forward for 2017 and my first as Vice-Chancellor. As I said last week it is an absolute privilege to be appointed UWA’s 18th VC and it will be wonderful to work with you to build on last year’s achievements.
As we embark on a busy year the newly-formed Executive and I will meet this week to discuss the University’s strategic future. I look forward to talking with you more about our 2017 priorities and hearing your thoughts at an upcoming Town Hall to be held in February. By working together towards the same goals we can all contribute to UWA’s future success.
Finally, I’m pleased to announce that Professor Grady Venville will be the acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education while we undertake an international search for a permanent appointment.
