The next stage of changeover works to the new Crawley campus electricity substation will begin on Friday 4 November.

These works are critical to ensure a safe and stable power supply to our campus buildings.

There will be short power outages of between 15 to 30 minutes while the changeover occurs, with the works beginning at 5am to minimise the impact as much as possible.

Following the unexpected complications that occurred last week additional generators will be connected to provide power to all buildings if required.

The works will be undertaken on the following days ( click here for map) :

A Ring - Friday 4 November
B Ring - Monday 7 November
C Ring - Completed
D Ring - Wednesday 9 November

Action required

• Save your work and shutdown computers 10 minutes prior to commencement of works to avoid any unnecessary loss of work.
• Turn off any non-essential electrical items.
• Please ensure your staff are aware of the changeover works and take appropriate actions to mitigate any risks as required.
