Colleagues
Last week we paused to remember Ben Pocock and Richard Mayne, the two English students who were killed when flight MH17 was shot down as they travelled to Perth to take up a student exchange opportunity at UWA. It is two years since this tragic event and our thoughts remain with their parents, family and friends.
On behalf of Ben’s parents, last Friday the Guild President and I laid a wreath in memory of their son at the Reflection Pond. It is moments like these that provide the opportunity to take a moment and reflect on how special life is and how we need to cherish every day.
