In March 2016, highschool students from St Stephen's School in Duncraig visited the Helicobacter Research Laboratory. Research Associate Dr Alfred Tay presented an overview of the Helicobacter Research Laboratory's work and some fairly graphic pictures of H.pylori and its effects on the stomach.

The students mapped the incidence of global stomach cancer and left with a better understanding of who is infected with H.pylori and why. The students' favourite part of the excursion was meeting Nobel Laureate Professor Barry Marshall and hearing about his research journey.
