On 31st March, Thursday, medical experts of Xiamen University and University of Western Australia, Professor Qian Xiaoyan, Professor Barry Marshall (Nobel Laureate) and Professor Geoff Riley hosted a conversation about common diseases from the perspectives of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine. It was a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from medical experts about their insights into the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of common diseases. China in Conversation is a high-level public forum series presented by Confucius Institute at UWA on hot topics in various aspects of contemporary China, inviting experts from China and Australia to dialogue in order to exchange their views and thus to enhance mutual understanding of different cultures. The forum started at 6:00 pm on Thursday, 31st March at the University Club (Lecture Hall) of Western Australia. After the three experts’ speeches, there was ample time for Q&As, networking and canapes.
