Please join with me in congratulating Lee Nedkoff on success in her application for an NHMRC Early Career Fellowship.

Lee will be researching on the topic of “Advancing the epidemiology of coronary heart disease:  reliable monitoring, secondary prevention and future projections.”

This is an outstanding achievement!  As we’re well aware, NHMRC is highly  competitive, reflected in the low rate of success of applications.  Given this and the fact that Lee has only just handed in her PhD (and as such, has not yet received back reports from her examiners) is testament to the very high level of Lee’s research and her research track record to date.  Securing this fellowship places Lee in the top tier of early career researchers nationally.  As a graduate of our MPH programme and soon to be graduate of our PhD programme, this success has extra significance.  We are looking forward to Lee’s continued contribution to the School over the course of her fellowship.

Congratulations Lee – and all the best for your fellowship.
