CENRM and UWA Albany has launched a fortnightly segment on ABC Great Southern Radio. CENRM researcher Dr Peter Speldewinde and ABC presenter Donna Dabala will talk about a variety scientific research being undertaken in the Great Southern Region, and further afield from across Australia and internationally. Topics of discussion will include interesting facts about some of the regions plants, animals and landscapes.

Jenifer O’Neil, Director of UWA Albany, hopes that this new and informative segment on local radio will raise the awareness of interesting research and work being undertaken from the UWA Albany Campus and make research findings more accessible to the broader community.

The ABC will also engage their social media to create an interactive element to the program – so listeners can text in questions or send in pictures of things they would like identified.

Listen in to Peter and Donna every second Tuesday at 10:30 am on ABC local Radio 630 AM. Also visit the website https://www.abc.net.au/greatsouthern/ for stories and pictures.
