Squire Patton Boggs senior associate Mark Palermo has been appointed President of the UWA Business School's Graduate Management Association (GMA).

Mr Palermo , who holds a Master of Business Administration from UWA, will lead the Graduate Management Association for the next 12 months.

At just 32 years old, Mr Palermo will become the GMA's first Generation Y president since the alumni group was established in 1976.

Outgoing GMA President Thomas Murrell praised Mr Palermo's leadership qualities, saying: "Mark has a great leadership skillset of corporate governance, contracts and finance, and was a great support as Vice-President."

Graham Harmsworth, a General Engineer and Maintenance Coordinator at Callidus Process Solutions, was elected as Vice-President of the GMA.

The GMA maintains links between current and past postgraduate students and alumni of the UWA Business School, the business community and the broader community, both in Australia and internationally. In 2015, the GMA will continue to present professional development and networking events for its members.
