Following a major review of our Broadway UWA program in 2014, there have been some enhancements made to the scheme to enable more students to qualify for a place under Broadway UWA from 2015.

For admission to UWA in 2015 to 2017 (i.e. students completing Year 12 in 2014 to 2016), schools qualify under the revised Broadway UWA program if they:

  • are located in metropolitan Perth and have a three-year average ICSEA score at or below the WA median [1]; or
  • are located in regional or remote Western Australia [2]; or
  • are a 2015 Aspire UWA school; or
  • are a School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE).

Broadway UWA enables eligible students from a Broadway UWA -identified Western Australian school with an ATAR of 75.00 to 79.95, to receive an automatically adjusted selection rank of 80.00; this allows them to receive an offer into our four main undergraduate degrees (provided they also meet the WACE, English language competence, and subject prerequisite requirements). The program now also allows eligible students with ATARs of 80.00 or above to receive a positive adjustment to their selection rank.

[1] The Broadway threshold for 2015-2017 is the WA median ICSEA score of 1024, based on 2011-2013 ICSEA scores.

[2] A school is defined as regional or remote if its post code, under the Australian Bureau of Statistics' mapping of post codes to remoteness areas, has less than 50% of its area designated as being in a major city of Australia.
