The Business School has cemented its place as one of Australia's best, winning European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation again.

The five-year EQUIS re-accreditation, awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development, recognises the high international standard of a school's degree programs, research, executive education, community outreach and internationalisation.

The decision to award the UWA Business School the maximum possible five-year re-accreditation period was made unanimously by the accrediting panel.

Dean of the UWA Business School, Professor Phil Dolan, said the re-accreditation reflected the School's ongoing commitment to high quality world-class education, research of international relevance, and excellent relationships with the business community.

"As part of UWA's drive to be in the world's top 50 universities by 2050, the UWA Business School is committed to attracting the best students and staff from around the world, and delivering the highest quality teaching and research," Professor Dolan said.

"We work with the local community and global partners to ensure that our work contributes to building stronger business practices - in areas ranging from leadership and entrepreneurship, through to personal finance, social impact and resource economics.

"In recent years, we have also introduced an MBA Full Time , Master of Applied Finance and Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation to meet the changing demands of business."

The UWA Business School is the only business school in Western Australia to hold EQUIS accreditation. It is also the only school in the State to hold accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and one of only seven institutions in Australia to hold both EQUIS and AACSB accreditation.
