Stuart Speidel, a PhD student  from The University of Western Australia’s School of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering , will compete as a Finalist in the 2014 National iAwards in Melbourne after winning the ‘Student Domaine' award for his project REView at the 23rd Western Australian Information Technology and Telecommunications Awards (WAiTTA).

REView is a web-based portal software package that collects statistics from electronic vehicle trackers, vehicle charging stations, and on usage of renewable energy resources. REView will enable drivers, fleet managers and charging station operators to make more effective business decisions.

The iAwards honours the best and most innovative solutions and inspirational companies and individuals in the ICT Industry. Stuart will be entered into the ‘Postgraduate Tertiary Student iAward’ category, which recognises the most outstanding project or research undertaken by a tertiary (postgraduate) student or group of students during either coursework or research Masters, Doctoral or Post-Doctoral programs.

The winners will be announced at the iAwards 2014 Awards Ceremony on Friday 29 August at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
