The UWA Sport and Recreation Association's night of nights was held on Wednesday 30 October, which saw ten clubs and 45 athletes recognised for their individual or team sporting excellence.

The awards night, held at the University Club of Western Australia, was attended by more than 140 student athletes, alumni, sports council members, club members and presidents. Guest of honour Emeritus Professor Alan Robson was inducted as a UWA Sport and Recreation Association Lifetime Member. Other special guests included Master of Ceremonies Richard Pengelley, Winthrop Professor Alec Cameron, representatives from the Convocation office, Clinical Professor Lesley Cala and Adjunct Professor Warren Kerr, UWA Sports President Mr Pino Monaco and members of the UWA Sports Board.

Awards presented on the night included the Meakins Medal which was awarded to Kimberley Fisher, UWA Sport Coach of the Year bestowed upon Andrei Kovalenko (water polo), Champion Club for 2013 presented to the UWA Football Club (AFL). In total 9 Club Service and Club Letters were awarded to athletes, administrators and volunteers from the UWA Sport Clubs for their dedication and support of their chosen clubs.

The most prestigious awards presented by UWA Sports are the Half and Full Blues awards and the Sports Star of the Year. 16 Half Blues and 15 Full Blues were awarded to student athletes who represented their club and The University at national and/or international level. Timothy Widdicombe was presented Sports Star of the Year for 2013 for his outstanding achievements in rowing.
