In last year’s edition of IMpress we told you about the upgrade of TRIM to version 7.

It has now been almost a year since we upgraded and we hope that you have been making good use of the new features. Here are two of our favourites:

User Labels

User Labels allow you to organise your records in a hierarchy much like Windows Explorer. If you work with multiple files that you’d like to keep grouped together, but didn’t know you could do this in TRIM, then we encourage you to find out more about this feature.

Document Content Indexing (DCI)

Possibly the most exciting new feature is the ability to search within the content of electronic records in TRIM. Electronic documents that have been saved into TRIM (or have been updated) on or after the first of June 2011 have been now been content indexed. This means that in addition to being able to search on text contained in the Title and Notes fields of electronic records managed in TRIM, you can now also search on text contained within the body of these documents.

Take a look at our TRIM Advice Sheets for information on how to use the User Labels and Document Content Searching in TRIM 7. If you prefer the personal touch, register online for a TRIM refresher session and one of our trainers will visit you at your desk
