Come along to our annual UWA Open Day on Sunday 11 August, from 10am to 4pm, to find out about the State's only world top 100 ranked university* as we celebrate our 100th birthday.

The day will include course information sessions, displays and faculty tours.  There will also be family activities, live music and entertainment, hands-on activities and sporting matches for the whole family to enjoy.

This year, to celebrate our Centenary, we also invite you to enjoy a special program of talks, tours and activities, as together we celebrate a century of achievement and look forward to our bright, shared future.

Our community talks are aimed to appeal to a wide audience, as our speakers provide amazing insights into their inspiring journeys:

  • UWA Vice-Chancellor , Professor Paul Johnson talks about the transformative power of education and how UWA's ranking as a world top 100 university, along with our flexible course structure, gives our graduates a competitive edge in a rapidly changing world.

  • Western Australian of the Year 2013 , UWA Professor Bruce Robinson, gives an insight into his amazing journeys as a UWA doctor - cancer research; ‘the Fathering Project' Director; and providing medical help for international disasters.

  • Young Australian of the Year 2013 , Akram Azimi, tells the story of his unique student experience: from UWA student to Young Australian of the Year 2013.

  • The UWA Historical Society welcomes you to step-back-in-time for their panel discussion on the UWA Founding Professors in the historic Senate Room.

The Centenary celebrations include highlights of LUMINOUSnight acts, screenings of the cinema cut version of LUMINOUShall and the LUMINOUS app; photo exhibitions, photo ops; behind-the-scenes tours ; Centum kids' craft zone;  and so much more.
