This dog eats money.
You can help to keep him well-fed and happy by donating to UWAnews editor Lindy Brophy's campaign to raise money to train a guide dog.
The Association for the Blind/Guide Dogs WA and UWA share their Centenary this year and, if the goal of $30,000 is reached, it will become a Centenary gift from UWA to the community.
Many of us have bowls or bottles of coins in our homes, where change is thrown in at the end of the day.
You don't even have to count the coins. Just call Lindy Brophy and she will collect them from you, have them counted and donated to the cause, then issue you with a tax receipt. Couldn't be easier.
Lindy is about a quarter of the way towards the $30,000 mark.
You can also help by taking part in a car boot sale on Sunday 19 May in car park 23, at the Water Sports Complex, on the corner of Mounts Bay Road and Hackett Drive. At least two stalls will be selling vinyl records. There will also be home-made cakes and new clothing.
Sellers are invited from 8am, at $20 for a car bay. You can still take a stall if you don't have a car. Just set up a table.
Buyers and browsers are welcome from 9am, for a gold coin donation - once again, to feed the hungry dog!
You can also donate to the campaign online.
