Way back in 1998 when TRIM was first implemented, the numbering pattern for general documents was set to allow for a maximum of 99,999 to be created in any given year.

Presumably we considered this number well and truly unreachable over a 12 month period. However, thanks in part to our wonderful TRIM Super Users, we found ourselves skating very close to that figure earlier in the year.

Thankfully our TRIM Systems Developer Jane Hay was ahead of the game and added another digit in good time for Gail Blake to create document 100,000 for 2012. We’re on our way to the million!
