The Vice-Chancellor of The University of Western Australia, Professor Alan Robson, has been appointed a new member and Chair of the WA Museum Board.

The four-year appointment was announced this week by WA Minister for Planning, Culture and The Arts, John Day.

Professor Robson, whose term as Vice-Chancellor at UWA finishes at the end of this year, was also recently appointed to the inaugural academic board of the Adelaide campus of the University College London, and made foundation Chair of the Federal Government's new Higher Education Standards Panel.

Professor Robson will be succeeded at UWA by Professor Paul Johnson, a former Director of the London School of Economics and Vice-Chancellor of Victoria's La Trobe University for the past four years.
