Assistant Professor Shazzad Hossain and Professor Mark Randolph were awarded the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Offshore Award for 2010 for their paper: "Deep-penetrating spudcan foundations on layered clays: numerical analysis. Géotechnique, 60(3), 171-184, 2010".
This award is given to the paper chosen by the ICE award panel as the best paper published in their suite of journals in 2010 in the offshore category.
The annual ICE Awards Ceremony is one of the highlights of the Institution's calendar. It celebrates excellence within civil engineering and technical writing, and the outstanding commitment of the award winners.
Prize-winning authors will be presented with their award at a ceremony held at ICE in Westminster, London, UK, on Monday 24 October 2011.
