As delegates and companies flock to Canadian show, speakers focus on gold-price highs and a weak US dollar and the need to discover ‘quality resources."  The CET Director, Prof. T. Campbell McCuaig (pictured) was honoured to be invited to present at the 4-day Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada's (PDAC) convention in March 2011.

At the opening ceremony of the PDAC convention in Toronto, Canada's minister of Natural Resources, Christian Paradis, announced a commitment of $US25 million in federal funding for the country's exploration and mining industry.

In an interview as part of the report in the Mining Journal (March 18, 2011) Prof. T. Campbell McCuaig stresses "the importance of governmental assistance in the creation of datasets and commended Canada's minister of Natural Resources,  Mr. Paradis, for his commitment to this type of initiative."
