UWA graduate Shaun Tan's animated feature " The Lost Thing " has been shortlisted for an Oscar.
The 15 minute film, directed by Shaun Tan and Andrew Ruhemann through Passion Pictures Australia, was one of 10 shortlisted from 33 to qualify in the category.
The 83rd Academy Awards nominations will be announced live in the US on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, before the announcement of the winners at the Oscars on 27 February.
