Associate Professor Florian Fusseis has returned to UWA after a trip to northern Europe to discuss developments in geothermal power.

Dr Fusseis , a researcher with the Western Australian Geothermal Centre of Excellence , visited Norway and Germany as part of the Visiting Researchers Program (VRP), a brainchild of Austrade’s Copenhagen-based trade commissioner, Flemming Larsen

Larsen says the program isn’t about setting up new research links so much as capitalising on those that already exist.

He says Australia needs to be seen for its capacity for research training and luring top students, and he insists that all researchers visiting Perth also talk to students while they’re here.

A more detailed article about Dr Fusseis' trip and work can be found on the Campus Review website .
