Unravelling forensic science, discovering the opportunities in food science and finding out how a business degree can ‘open doors' are some of the featured discussions at The University of Western Australia's Postgraduate and Honours Expo.

The expo will showcase the many options for further study at honours and postgraduate level across the University's faculties and schools.

Staff and students will be available to answer questions and discuss coursework and research possibilities.

Some of the new courses on offer next year will include the Graduate Diploma in Sleep Science, Graduate Diploma in Work Health and Safety and Master of Science (Medical Physics).

Other seminars during the expo will cover a range of topics including ‘Postgraduate Studies in Public Health and Nursing', ‘New Courses 2012:  professional postgraduate degrees at UWA' and ‘Graduate Research:  why do it'.

Information about course content, the difference between coursework and research programs, scholarships and student services and the benefits that postgraduate study will be provided. Resources will also be available on admission and course requirements.

The expo is open to the public on Wednesday 20 October at the University Club from 4 - 8pm.
