The world is changing rapidly and so are leading universities like UWA.  New Courses 2012 is expected to increase opportunities for UWA students to study overseas, building upon UWA's tradition of acting globally and preparing its students to be citizens of the world.

UWA has an extensive range of over 100 student exchange agreements with renowned universities around the world including Tsinghua University in China,  the National University of Singapore, the University of California and University of Pennsylvania in the USA, McGill University in Canada, University College in London, and the University of Copenhagen in Denmark to name a few.  These agreements enable students (including international students) to increase the value of their UWA degree by including an additional international education experience while studying at UWA.

Students may study for up to two semesters in another country, for the same cost as their UWA tutition fees (with no additional tuition fees at the host university).  Students may  also receive generous financial support through a range of UWA Study Abroad Scholarships valued at up to $5,000.  There will be a stronger emphasis on encouraging study overseas within the New Courses 2012 initiative,  and a corresponding increase  in  opportunities  where  students are able to study overseas;  thus ensuring  that students have access to the full range of knowledge and skills to prepare them for life and employment as a global citizen.

New agreements with institutions in all parts of the world are continuously being added to the program, recent additions to the list of institutions where students may go on exchange include:

  • Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Grenoble (IEPG), Science Po Grenoble (Grenoble, France)

  • UNIVERSIDAD PONTIFICIA COMILLAS (Madrid, Spain)

  • EPSCI, Ecole des Praticiens du Commerce International, ESSEC Business School Group, Cergy-Pontoise Cedex, France
