Up to 1,000 parents of new students will be welcomed at The University of Western Australia's heritage-listed Winthrop Hall tomorrow (Saturday 27 March) - the first use of the hall since the damage caused by Monday's hail storms.

Nearly all of the stained glass panels on the northern side of the hall were smashed. The broken panels have been made safe by sandwiching them in perspex sheets while awaiting full heritage restoration.

The University's Parents Welcome is an annual event at which parents are given information about the University and its courses. They also have the opportunity to tour the University and meet University staff.

WHAT: UWA Parents Welcome
WHEN: 2pm Saturday 27 March
WHERE: Winthrop Hall, The University of Western Australia
