With the start of the new semester, students will now be able to get all of their enquiries answered in a dedicated new ECM Student Centre

Last Friday saw the Student Experience team, part of the Faculty's Student Affairs team, move into the new ECM Student Centre, located on the ground floor of the Civil-Mechanical Engineering Building and facing onto James Oval. This team was previously based in the Faculty Office on Level 2 of the Eletrical Engineering Building.

The ECM Student Centre is designed to be the first point of call for student enquiries for the Faculty for both continuing and new students.

The Centre has been refurbished and made student friendly, with vibrant colours to match the vibrant staff eager to assist with enquiries.

The Dean of the Faculty, Winthrop Professor David Smith, welcomed the opening of this important Centre: "The student experience is a vital part of our success as a Faculty, and the new ECM Student Centre is another step to ensuring we provide the highest levels of support to our new and continuing students."

"When combined with the continuing development of the Clough First Year Engineering Centre and the Monadelphous Integrated Learning Centre, the Faculty will have some outstanding physical infrastructure dedicated to making our students time in the Faculty rewarding and positive."

"I would encourage all staff in the Faculty to drop in and have a look at the new Centre, and to say hello to the Student Experience team".

With the opening of the new Centre, all staff are asked to ensure that student enquiries are directed appropriately. The contact information for the ECM Student Centre has remained the same, and student enquiries can be directed to (08) 6488 3061 or [email protected] .

An official opening of the centre is planned for the near future.
