Tuesday, 9 February 2010

The Faculty will be welcoming all of our new students (up to 1000 of them!) on Wednesday, 17 th February 2010. This will be the perfect opportunity to personally welcome our new recruits, including local and international, undergraduates and postgraduates and help to confirm they have made the absolute best choice in university and course.

All staff are invited to join us at our ice-breaker activities on the morning of Wednesday 17th February on Riley Oval, prior to the formal welcome at 10am.

Due to the sheer numbers of new students (we can't help our popularity!) we will need your help to facilitate and participate in our exciting ‘ice-breaker' activities. Please try to spare an hour to join in! It will also be great for the new students, particularly our undergrads, to meet as many of you as possible in an informal and fun setting.  We would especially like to encourage our teaching and learning staff.

Delicious refreshments will be served :)

Icebreakers will include two activities including ‘ speed greeting ' and ‘ people bingo' which are very easy to play and require nothing more advanced than talking to people whom you haven't met before. All staff who sign-up will receive information on how the activities work and each group will have coordinators who will take point-duty (please let us know if you would like to be an activity coordinator).

Wednesday, 17 th February from 8.45am - 9.45am is the time to put in your diary and to depart your labs, workshops and offices and join us as the friendly faces of our fantastic Faculty.

To ensure we have enough helpers, please email if you can join us by FRIDAY, 12 th February.
If you have any queries please call Kate Brandis on x 3229.

Thank you!
