On January 15 and 21, SESE played host to 30 of Australia's brightest young Scientists as part of the 2010 National Youth Science Forum .

Winthrop Professor Greg Ivey, Assistant Professor Marco Ghisalberti, Dani Barrington, and Ben Hollings led the students through the Swan River Model, Tilting Tube and Edge Waves experiments in the Hydraulics Lab, took them on a tour of the Glider facility and introduced them to the field of Environmental Engineering.

The students peppered their hosts with incredibly insightful questions and clearly enjoyed their time in the labs. Hopefully, we have encouraged one or two students to pursue an Engineering degree at UWA!
