The Faculty has outlined a proposed new professional staff structure for the Faculty and is now seeking feedback from across the Faculty on the proposal before any decision is made to go forward.

Staff are reminded that feedback on the proposed professional staff structure needs to be provided to [email protected] by Monday 26 October 2009.

A meeting was held with affected professional staff on the 8 October 2009 to outline the proposal, and the documentation regarding the proposal was circulated to all staff in the Faculty. The documents are now available on the One Faculty, One Future website .

All staff have the opportunity for feedback on the proposed structure, which must be submitted by Monday 26 October. Following this, the feedback will be considered and a decision made on whether to move forward with the proposal.

All staff also have the opportunity to provide feedback in an open feedback session, to be held as follows:
Date: Tuesday 20 October 2009
Time: 1pm
Venue: Engineering Lecture Theatre 1
This meeting will not provide new information other than that provided in the first meeting with professional staff, but will offer an opportunity for all staff to ask questions, raise concerns and provide feedback.

In addition, the second meeting for professional staff as part of the organisational change will be held as follows:
Date: Thursday 22 October 2009
Time: 2pm-4pm
Venue: Engineering Lecture Theatre 1
This meeting provides an opportunity for professional staff to provide further feedback, ask questions or express concerns regarding the proposal.

Staff are also asked to note that, due to a conflict with the Melbourne Cup, the third meeting in the organisational change process has been rescheduled as follows:
Date: Monday 2 November 2009
Time: 2pm - 4pm
Venue: Social Sciences Lecture Theatre

In proposing these changes to the professional staff structure, the Faculty is following the University's Organisational Change Guidelines .
