UWA's Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics offers exciting activities, both on and off campus, for groups of secondary school students.

We can arrange a time to come out to your school and talk to students in all year groups about our courses. Our presentations cover important topics such as specific course information, admission requirements, scholarships and career prospects.

Alternatively, if you have a group of students who would like more than a short presentation, why not book in for a visit to the University campus- just like Kalamunda SHS and Shenton College.

The Year 9's from Kalamunda SHS were treated to a variety of activities including the Swan River model in Environmental Systems Engineering, the workings of the Motorsport Team and were challenged by the Nim game with Mathematics. They completed their tour with a visit to Physics where the students delved into angular momentum, witnessed the Tesla Coil and experimented with Liquid Nitrogen.

The year 12 students from Shenton College also enjoyed the sights and sounds of Physics, prior to visiting Computer Science where they discovered virtual worlds and the Mechanical Engineering workshop to disassemble and reassemble engines.

We can tailor a program to suit your group with hands-on activities in a range of areas including environmental engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mining engineering, computer science and maths. Please note that these visits are subject to availability and time slots often fill quickly.
