This interactive forum for staff and postgraduate students focuses on developing ARC (Australian Research Council) Linkage projects, with an overview of the scheme followed by hints and tips from researchers with a wealth of experience as Linkage Project assessors or successful applicants.

All staff and postgraduate students from the Faculties of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, and Faculty of Life and Physical Sciences (FLAPS)
are invited to participate in the workshop.

The details of the workshop are as follows:
Date:
Tuesday 1st of September
Time: 1.00pm-2.00pm
Venue: Arts Lecture Room 5 (G.61) in the Arts Building

Facilitator: Dr Debbie Thackray

Panel members:

2) Professor John Hartnett, FLAPS
3) Winthrop Professor Dongke Zhang, ECM, ARC assessment panel member

Walking through the project development process, we’ll explore all aspects of building relationships with partner organisations, “selling” the linkage scheme to your potential partner, negotiating project details and partner support, through to developing your budget,
tips on what the panel members/assessors look for and pitfalls to be aware of. Come prepared with all your questions!

Let’s start thinking 2010 Linkage Project grants Round 2 (November 2009) and 2011 Round 1 (May 2010)!

RSVP is required!
