Members of Engineers Australia are invited to make a submission for the 2009 Warren Medal .
The Warren Medal perpetuates the memory of Professor WH Warren who was the first President of the Institution of Engineers Australia . Established in 1929, this award is given annually by the Civil College of Engineers Australia for the best paper in the discipline of civil engineering.
Criteria:
- The Award shall be for a paper on a civil engineering subject, provided such paper is adjudged of sufficient merit as a contribution to the literature of the engineering profession;
- Papers are eligible if they are published between 1 June 2008 and 31 July 2009 in any of Engineers Australia's journals, conference proceedings or any other document recognised as a formal Engineers Australia publication;
- Joint authorship of a paper is restricted to three in number, of which one must be a member of Engineers Australia. Medals are only presented to members;
- Papers should be original and innovative.
Papers are to be submitted using the online nomination form by 21 August 2009.
